Burnout Paradise, the fifth entry in the racing game series, will make a return on Xbox One. Developer Criterion Games has confirmed via Twitter that the Xbox 360 game will be playable on Microsoft's current-gen console.
Yes there was, and yes it is... It's in the pipe, five-by-five. Stay tuned for a date though. https://t.co/y2bhTuOccQ

Burnout Paradise was first named as a possible title to take advantage of Xbox One's new backward compatibility feature in July. Now confirmed, it will be one of more than 100 Xbox 360 games promised by Microsoft to be playable when the feature launches sometime this month.
Earlier this month, Three Fields Entertainment, the studio founded by two former Criterion Games developers, teased a successor to the Burnout series on Twitter. That game will take after the games preceding the more open-world Paradise, according to the tweets.
