No matter the system, you'll be able to play Fallout 4 the second it becomes available if you buy the game digitally. Bethesda has confirmed that you'll be able to preload the game on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
We can confirm that #Fallout4 will have pre-loading on Xbox One, PS4, and PC so you have a few days to download the game before 11/10

The details are slight, but we know you'll be able to get the game loaded "a few days" before launch.

If you buy a physical copy of the game you'll need to wait, but if you buy digitally on any platform you'll be able to get your preload all nice and sorted. Previous reports put the install size of the game at 28 GB, at least on the Xbox One.
