Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg got a very special birthday present from the folks at PlayStation recently: his very own PlayStation 4 controller, Kjellberg said on Twitter today.
Kjellberg turned 26 this past Saturday, Oct. 24. Sony marked the occasion by sending him a round double-layer cake covered in white frosting, with the PlayStation face buttons on top, icing in the PlayStation symbols' colors around the top edge. The top also bore the phrase "Greatness awaits inside" — a play on "greatness awaits," Sony's marketing tagline for the PS4 — while the side read "Happy birthday PewDiePie."
When Kjellberg cut into the birthday cake, he found a unique DualShock 4 inside. The controller has a white body with the PlayStation symbols on it, and its touchpad bears Kjellberg's age, 26, and his moniker, PewDiePie.
"I went for a late snack, but found a treasure," Kjellberg wrote on Twitter. "Thanks for this brilliant gift @PlayStation!"
That's a pretty good midnight snack, indeed.
One of Kjellberg's next projects is Scare PewDiePie, a reality series in which he scares himself by exploring spooky sets inspired by his favorite video games. Scare PewDiePie will premiere in early 2016 exclusively on YouTube Red, Google's new $9.99-a-month subscription service.
