Watch a telling, hilarious deleted scene from The Martian

Just when you think you've seen everything Matt Damon has to offer in The Martian, he goes and massages the "chem cam."

In a deleted scene shared on Twitter Thursday night by author Andy Weir, Damon's character in the movie, botanist Mark Watney, can be seen conducting various research on the food he's managed to grow while trapped on Mars while lightheartedly insulting his crew.

The deleted scene doesn't offer anything new to the story, but it is a great chance to see Damon absolutely nail one of the better roles he's taken on over the past few years.

Not to mention it includes more of the humor Weir made famous in his book that fans will probably enjoy seeing.
