Nintendo has dated its first new Nintendo Direct presentation since the passing of Satoru Iwata. Nintedo of America tweeted the announcement for the Nov. 12 live event, which will stream online at 2 p.m. PT.
The news comes with little fanfare and few other details. Nintendo did promise to show off some of its upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games. With Black Friday season already upon us, this new Direct is coming at an appropriate time.
E3 2015 was the last time Nintendo fans were treated to a Nintendo Direct. Nintendo held a supersized presentation in lieu of an on-stage press conference during the June show, which it had also done the year before.
Longtime Nintendo president Iwata did not host the E3 presentation due to illness. He was well-known for regularly hosting Nintendo Directs, but new president Tatsumi Kimishima recently confirmed that the series would continue without their most familiar face.
