A batch of new, slightly spoilerish photos from Star Wars: The Force Awakens are here to help tide fans over until the movie is released.
Exclusive to Entertainment Weekly, the photos provide further insight into Oscar Isaac's mysterious character, Poe Dameron, and add some depth to scenes only briefly glimpsed in previous trailers.
Whether or not the photos contain massive spoilers is a matter of opinion, so consider this your official warning for the images embedded below.
The first image shows off an intense moment between Finn (John Boyega) and Poe. According to Entertainment Weekly, at some point in The Force Awakens, Poe will be captured and imprisoned by the Dark Order. The timing of this particular scene is still uncertain — whether the injuries noticeable on Poe's body were sustained during or after the capture — but the most important takeaway is that Finn is still in his stormtrooper costume.
We already knew that Finn was originally a part of the stormtrooper army before deciding to ditch the uniform and turn his back on the Dark Order, but we didn't know that he knew Poe prior to his leaving. In another photo, Finn, dressed in what appears to be Poe's old jacket, can be seen talking to a properly geared-up X-Wing pilot, Poe.
While it remains unclear as to what happens to these two characters in between the photos, it's obvious that they'll have more than one encounter in the film and that much will have changed for both.
The other photo that was particularly interesting was a clearer take on an already infamous scene.
People have seen the clip of Finn and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) standing in a snow covered forest, lightsabers at the ready, prepared to duel. In the new photo, however, it's revealed that Rey (Daisy Ridley) is also a part of the ominous scene.
From the way the scene has been marketed, from being in every single trailer and teaser that has come out since the announcement of the film, it's hard to imagine that this won't be an integral part to the film. Despite all of the attention on the scene, however, there still isn't much information as to what's happening in it and what led to the icy meeting.
Considering the film is just over a month from being released, there's a good chance this will be the final batch of photos. Director J.J. Abrams has already said there are no more official trailers, although there will be a few more television spots made available for anxious fans.
The Force Awakens hits theaters on Dec. 18.
