Sonic the Hedgehog is notorious these days for several reasons, but his increasingly ridiculous Twitter account might be the most visible. The unconventional and unpredictable feed is currently being held hostage by Sonic's long-time nemesis, Dr. Eggman (formerly known as Dr. Robotnik), and the mad scientist is using the platform to call out some of Sonic's biggest fans.
The most notable of these public smackdowns might be Eggman's call to Kel Mitchell, the former Nickelodeon child star. We spoke to Mitchell at New York Comic Con about his love for Sonic the Hedgehog and his Sega Genesis adventures, and it appears that Eggman didn't appreciate that story.

Archie Comics, which publishes the long-running Sonic the Hedgehog comic series, also got a personal message from the egg-headed villain.

You can tweet your message to Eggman and potentially receive an audio reply from him, yourself. His takeover commenced around 1 p.m. ET with no end quite yet in sight.
Update: Dr. Eggman reached out to Polygon with a special video message.
.@Polygon We give this article an 8.5 / 10. Good work. pic.twitter.com/RL5UafBWko
