How to awaken the creepy Doctor Who Easter egg in Black Ops 3

A bunch of people (we first spotted it on The Hidden Blade's YouTube account) have discovered a cool little Easter egg hidden in the Nuketown 2065 multiplayer map of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

If you manage to shoot the arms off every single futuristic mannequin on the map in less than two minutes the things come to life and try to kill you. But not outright. That would be too easy.

Instead, they attack you only when you're not looking, à la Doctor Who's super creepy Weeping Angels. In the video above, you can see what it's like to awaken them and try to move around the map. I've also included a bit of footage captured in spectator mode so you can see how they behave when no one is supposed to be looking.
