PlayStation Plus free games for December include SSX and King's Quest

The last month of 2015 looks to be a pretty good one for PlayStation Plus subscribers, who will get a lineup of free downloadable games including SSX and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Sony announced today.

December is an unusual PlayStation Plus month in that none of the free games are cross-buy titles — there are six games, two each on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Leading the list on PS4 is King's Quest: A Knight to Remember, the first episode of The Odd Gentlemen's reimagining of King's Quest. The other PS4 title is Gauntlet: Slayer Edition from Arrowhead Game Studios.

PlayStation 3-owning Plus subscribers will get EA Canada's SSX, the series reboot from 2012, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Ubisoft Montreal's wild '80s-themed follow-up to Far Cry 3. Vita owners will be able to download Japan Studio's Freedom Wars and Ratloop's Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken.

All six titles will be available free to PlayStation Plus subscribers next Tuesday, Dec. 1. Check out the video above for more on the games.
