With Warner Bros.' Wonder Woman gearing up to start production, it looks like the movie may have found its Queen of the Amazons in Nicole Kidman.
According to The Wrap, Kidman is taking part in "on-going negotiations" to take on the role, although nothing has been confirmed by the studio.
In the comics, Queen of the Amazons (also known as Hyppolyta) is the biological mother of Diana Prince, otherwise known as Wonder Woman.
Not much else is known about the movie, although rumors have been flying around about possible time periods and plot points.
Gal Gadot is confirmed as the titular character, with Chris Pine on board to play Gadot's love interest, Steve Trevor. Patty Jenkins will helm the project while Zack Snyder is set to produce the film.
Wonder Woman is scheduled to be released on June 23, 2017, but audiences can catch Gadot before that in Snyder's upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, 2016.
