Fantasy Flight Games is hosting its annual world championships this week, featuring all the best Star Wars miniatures and Netrunner players from around the world. The event starts on Nov. 4 and continues through Nov. 8, and will be streamed live on Twitch from FFG headquarters in Roseville, Minnesota.
Kicking off the event at 11:30 a.m. ET on Nov. 4 will be the preliminary rounds of Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game. FFG's massive retail location has a custom-built studio where they broadcast the action live, including multiple camera angles around and above the table. Combined with expert commentary from players and designers alike, if nothing else it'll be a great time to learn the game.
Of course, for the participants it's all about the bragging rights. There's no huge cash payout, but the winner will take home a trophy, as well as the chance to design a card for the game.
Other games on display will be Star Wars: Armada, an epic-scale miniatures game that pits capital ships from the Star Wars universe against one another, and Netrunner, a popular living card game.
X-Wing finals start Thursday morning, Armada finals Friday and Netrunner finals on Sunday.
