Peter Jackson teases Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings and Walking Dead fans in single video

Home Invasion

This was an interesting weekend...

Posted by Peter Jackson on Sunday, November 29, 2015

There are two things that fans of Doctor Who have known for a long time: Peter Jackson is open to directing an episode of the long-running British science fiction series and showrunner Steven Moffat is open to that collaboration as well.

What's prevented that from happening for a long time has been the usual problems of Time and Relative Dimension in Space. Jackson lives on the other side of the world from the United Kingdom shooting locations of Doctor Who, and for the past few years he's been very busy filming, editing and releasing the Hobbit trilogy.

But it's been a year since The Battle of the Five Armies hit theaters, and even the special extended edition Blu-ray is out by now. It seems like the director just might be ready to tackle an episode of the Time Lord's adventures, in this easter-egg-filled video Jackson posted on his Facebook page. Or at least he, Peter Capaldi and Jackson's daughter Katie are ready to play with all of our emotions and spit-shine some Oscar statuettes.
