With production for Marvel's upcoming Doctor Strange movie finally underway, the first photos of Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular character have been released.
The photos, which were posted on Twitter by fans in Nepal and published on Collider, show a thin, worn down and bearded Cumberbatch.

Considering Strange was born in 1930 and went through a traumatic car accident in 1963 that left him with severe nerve damange, however, it's not surprising to see Cumberbatch look a little haggard.
Doctor Strange marks Marvel's first foray into the magical realm of their catalogue of titles, focusing on a character that defines himself by his cosmic adventures and sorcerer powers.
The film's being directed by Scott Derickson (Sinister) and also stars Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen and Michael Stuhlbarg.
Doctor Strange is scheduled to be released next year, on Nov. 4, 2016.
