Battleborn, the upcoming shooter with MOBA elements from Gearbox Software, has been pushed back to May 3, 2016, publisher 2K Games announced today.
That's a three-month delay; 2K Games had originally announced in August that it planned to launch Battleborn Feb. 9. That means the game will now launch outside of the current fiscal year of Take-Two Interactive, parent company of 2K Games; Take-Two's fiscal year ends March 31.
In a quarterly earnings statement today, Take-Two still raised its financial guidance for the full 2016 fiscal year, although it noted that the increase is "partially offset" by moving Battleborn into the 2017 fiscal year (and by the previously announced delay of XCOM 2 from November to February).
Gearbox launched closed beta testing for Battleborn on Oct. 29. For more on Battleborn, check out our in-depth hands-on preview from last week.
