Today, November 7, is "Mass Effect Day" (for N7, the iconic rank insignia that appears on Commander Shepard's uniform). In observance of that, BioWare has put out this teaser for Mass Effect: Andromeda, the next entry in the series. Watch it above.
Voice actor Jennifer Hale reprises her role as Shepard in the narration, which is curious as BioWare has been explicit the series has moved on from the character, and he/she will not appear in the game. This appears to be a retrospective type of teaser, though we do get a good look at a new vessel.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch in about a year; "holiday 2016" is the time frame given for the sci-fi role-playing game, for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
The game's title was announced at E3 2015; revisit its debut trailer below.
