Here's how Fallout 4 has improved over Fallout 3

Fallout 4 isn't exactly a grand departure from past games in the apocalyptic open-world RPG series, but it nails a few mechanics that other Fallouts lacked. For one thing, its gunplay is a lot tighter, making non-VATS combat more viable and a hell of a lot more enjoyable. It takes a way more hands-on approach to making you feel like you're rebuilding your ruined world, largely because it literally allows you to rebuild the world. Also, you can sprint now.

For more on how Fallout 4 has changed the series during its road trip to Boston, watch our Overview, posted above. To get a taste of the wasteland waiting for you when Fallout 4 launches tomorrow, check out the first hour (and change!) of the game below, or on YouTube.
