'Clueless Gamer' Conan O'Brien leaves the Vault to discover Fallout 4

Conan heads to the wasteland

For Conan O'Brien, late night host and self-proclaimed "clueless gamer," the expansive world of Fallout 4 is equal parts confusing and compelling. In tonight's installment of his TBS show's gaming segment, O'Brien dons a dweller costume, heads down into the Vault and tries to make sense of Bethesda's new role-playing game.

Tonight's new episode of Conan began with a take on Fallout 4, too. Before descending into the shelter to sit through some gameplay, the cold open below finds Conan preparing for the upcoming Fallout-esque apocalypse.

While the host might not totally have understood the game's appeal at the end, he did lavish praise for the combat system and ultimately offered his recommendation.

Tomorrow, Nov. 10, you can have your own wasteland adventures when the game arrives on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

We've already spent 60 hours with Fallout 4, which we like a lot. We've also readied some helpful hints for optimizing your playthrough based on our experience thus far.
