Fallout Shelter received its most exciting addition today: the option to have pets.
As revealed by the Fallout Twitter account, your dwellers can now have animal companions to keep them company, including beloved German Shepherd Dogmeat.
Pets are part of a larger update to the game, Bethesda Game Studios confirmed in a press release. You'll also find that dwellers have additional flirting tactics. Overseers have increased abilities, too – you'll be able to evict your laziest members, as well as clear your inventory more quickly with a new "sell all" option. Managing your dwellers has also been improved overall.
Dogmeat is a familiar furry face to Fallout fans new and old, with Fallout 4's version of the canine notably unable to die during your playthrough.
Vault dwellers in Bethesda's Android and iOS game recently celebrated Thanksgiving and decorated the vault for Halloween back in October.
Yesterday, Bethesda announced it was opening a new studio in Montreal that would be working on, among other things, future mobile titles. The company dropped Fallout 4 on consoles in November; you can check out our review.
