Here’s what’s worth buying from Destiny’s Xur, Dec. 11-13
If you're playing Destiny, you're probably familiar with Xur, the weekly exotic-item merchant who arrives in the tower on Friday at 5 a.m. ET and departs on Sunday at 5 a.m. ET. If you're a casual player, it can be hard to know where your hard-earned Strange Coins are best spent.
Watch the above video for a quick review of Xur’s inventory this week. Update: Bungie has relocated Xur, thanks to a bug affecting the Reef. He’s now located in the hangar in the Tower. The weekly heroic strike is gone, so there is no longer a guaranteed consistent source of coins, but coins are now much more common from strikes and Crucible matches. Level 28 Prison of Elders is also still a reliable source of coins.
Xur’s Inventory for the weekend includes:
- Helm of Inmost Light
- Radiant Dance Machines
- Nothing Manacles
- Monte Carlo
- Legacy Weapon Engram: Primary Weapon
Remember that the Legacy Weapon Engram will always turn into a year one exotic with year one damage values — check out our story on the exotic game in Year Two for more details. And while you’re here, check out the video below for an overview on how to use the “Twist Fate” option on exotic armor pieces.
