Grab a free Star Wars VR device before they're gone (update: all gone)

Free as in you don't have to pay for it

Verizon recently offered free Star Wars-branded Cardboard viewers if you were a customer, but now Google is making that offer even better by giving away the units free of charge to anyone who wants one.

You just need to go to the page, pick out your design, and put in your information.

"These Google Cardboard designs created for Star Wars: The Force Awakens feature BB-8, First Order Stormtrooper, Kylo Ren, and R2-D2," the official page states. "Limit 1 free Cardboard (including shipping) per person, while supplies last."

Cardboard is Google's low-cost virtual reality platform, all you need is one of these viewers and the app to turn your existing smartphone into a virtual reality device. The Cardboard app is available on both Android and iOS, although these particular viewers are designed for non-phablet-sized phones.

I have nothing else to add, you have no reason not to do so, but I'd hurry!

Update: Sorry, folks — they're all gone!
