Watch Yakuza 6's first official trailer

Enjoying Yakuza 5 at last? Well here's Yakuza 6. You can't (yet) have it.

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

A month after Yakuza 5 finally launched in the West, Sega touted the PlayStation 4 and Japan-only (so far) Yakuza 6 with this official trailer over the weekend.

The first 40 or so seconds show off the highly detailed environments, but this is no tech demo. Protagonist Kiryu starts stomping ass 42 seconds in, before the trailer shifts to a demo of other gameplay features, such as how Kiryu navigates obstacles, narrow passages, rooftops, etc.

Yakuza 6 was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2015 back in September, along with a high-definition remake of the original Yakuza. Both are expected to launch in fall 2016, but localization plans for the West are not yet set for either.
