The Hateful Eight Roadshow tour tickets on sale now

Quentin Tarantino is taking his latest film, The Hateful Eight, on the road for a special tour that will play the movie on 70mm film instead of through standard digital playback.

On Monday, the movie's official website listed the cities that audiences would be able to see the special presentation in. That list can be found at the bottom of this article. Tarantino and some of the crew will be making appearances in a few of the cities, but won't be able to join the tour in its entirety.

The special presentation format officially opens on Christmas Day, but according to the site, those that purchase tickets leading up to the release are eligible to receive memorabilia from the film as part of the "12 Days of Hateful Eight Giveaways."

For those that aren't particularly interested in watching the movie on film, or for those that don't live in a city where the presentation is being offered, there's some good news. Indiewire reports that the official release date for the digital version of the film has been pushed up a week and will now open on New Year's Day.

The Hateful Eight is Tarantino's eighth film. The director recently said he hopes to one day turn it into a live stage production.
