Here are the first, spoiler-free reactions to Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The Force is strong in this one.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens had its official premiere last night in Hollywood, and as soon as the film was over, people took to Twitter to share their opinions.

For the most part, the reaction was overwhelmingly positive, with many calling The Force Awakens the best Star Wars film since the original movie, A New Hope, back in 1977.

From the tone of the film to the fight sequences to the way director J.J. Abrams made the film feel "old-fashioned," it sounds like those who were concerned about the movie resembling the prequel trilogy more than the original installments can rest easy.

Here are some spoiler free first reactions to The Force Awakens.

Of course, not everyone was as enthralled with the newest Star Wars film. Devin Faraci from Birth. Death. Movies. admitted that while the movie was more than alright, he wished it didn't try so hard to emulate the original trilogy.

The official reviews for the movie are embargoed until Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. PT, but if you're looking to settle some of that anxiety that's been building since the film was first announced, this should help out some.

The Force Awakens opens everywhere Friday.
