Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS is getting another Fire Emblem character: Corrin from Nintendo 3DS game Fire Emblem Fates. Nintendo revealed the newest DLC character in today's Nintendo Direct presentation dedicated to the latest Super Smash Bros.

According to a gameplay trailer, players can choose to play as the male and female versions of Corrin, similar to another Smash Bros. fighter, Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening. Corrin uses the Dragon Fang sword in battle and can transform parts of his or her body with special moves.

Corrin joins Robin, Ike, Marth and Lucina in representing the Fire Emblem series in Smash.

Fire Emblem Fates is already available in Japan. The strategy role-playing game is coming to Nintendo 3DS in February in North America in a pair of releases, Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. Corrin is also expected to be released as DLC for Super Smash Bros. in February.
