Platinum Games' Bayonetta is coming to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, creator Masahiro Sakurai announced today during a Nintendo Direct presentation. She'll be the final DLC character for the fighting game, Sakurai said.

According to Nintendo, Bayonetta was the "overall number one choice worldwide" in the Super Smash Bros. ballot, which asked fans to nominate DLC characters for Super Smash Bros.

Bayonetta will have two costumes, one based on her appearance in the original Bayonetta and another, featuring her shorter hairstyle from Bayonetta 2. She'll wield her trademark quartet of guns — one in each hand, one on each foot — and will be able to slow down the action using her Witch Time powers.

Super Smash Bros. will also get a new Bayonetta-themed stage, Umbra Clock Tower, which features the falling clock tower platform from Bayonetta 2. Jeanna, Roding and Cereza trophies will also be added to the game.

Bayonetta and her Umbra Clock Tower stage are expected to be released in February.
