Next year marks the 25th anniversary of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and to celebrate the milestone, the studio is re-releasing the film in theaters.
Except this time around, the movie will be available to watch in 3D for those that want to revisit the feature while experiencing it in a completely new way.
Although there's currently no indication as to when the movie will hit theaters, the original was released on July 3, 1991, so it only makes sense for the anniversary edition to come out around the same time.
There's also no word on whether it will receive a full run at various theaters around the country, or if it will be a one-day event at limited theaters in major cities.
More information will be released as the anniversary date draws closer. Terminator 2: Judgment Day, more often than not referred to as T2 by fans of the franchise, starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a cyborg who must protect the robotic son of Sarah Connor, one of the main characters from the series' first movie.
