By now, many of you have probably already seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens and are eagerly reading anything you can about it. For those who haven't, while this post isn't super spoiler-heavy, one could argue that there are elements of a spoiler found within.
With that being said, consider this your official spoiler warning for everything that follows.
There have been rumors since The Force Awakens started filming that Daniel Craig, the man behind Britain's most famous spy, would make a cameo appearance in the film. Now, according to Entertainment Weekly, that cameo has officially been confirmed.
Craig plays a stormtrooper in the movie, but not just any stormtrooper. He's actually the man behind Rey's first Jedi mind trick.
When Rey is being held captive at Kylo Ren's base, she uses her Jedi mind powers, which she's never actually been trained in, to convince Craig's stormtrooper to "remove these restraints and leave the door open."
He tries to pull back at first, even going as far as to threaten to tighten the restraints on the "scavenger scum," but eventually Rey wins the battle of the minds and he relents.
All things considered, a stormtrooper makes for a perfect cameo, considering the voice is heavily filtered and wouldn't draw too much attention away from what's happening in the film.
At this time, no other cameos have been confirmed, but it wouldn't be too surprising if more names were released down the line.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is currently playing in theaters.
