Harry Potter and the Cursed Child cast revealed

Here's your next Harry, Hermoine and Ron.

The cast of the upcoming Harry Potter play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, has finally been revealed, much to author J.K Rowling's delight.

Rowling took to Pottermore to share her enthusiasm for the actors who would be playing the adult versions of the beloved Golden Trio, which includes Harry, Hermoine and Ron.

Harry will be played by theater veteran Jamie Parker, while Noma Dumezweni, a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, takes on the role of Hermione. Film and television actor Paul Thornley will round out the main cast to play Ron.

"I'm so excited with the choice of casting for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," Rowling told the site. "I can't wait to see Jamie, Noma and Paul bring the adult Harry, Hermoine and Ron to life on stage next summer."

Despite being cast in the upcoming show, the three actors are quite busy at the moment, finishing up the final stretch of plays or shows they've been cast in.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child follows Harry's youngest son, Albus, as he copes with a family legacy that he never particularly wanted while his father navigates an overworked career at the Ministry of Magic.

The play will be staged in "two epic parts," according to the site, with previews of the event starting on June 7, 2016 in London. There's currently no plans to bring the play to other parts of the world.

Casting for the other roles in the play, including Harry's wife Ginny and his three children — James, Lily and Albus — is expected to be released at a later date.
