A Steam port of Tales of Symphonia, one of the most popular entries in Bandai Namco's Tales series, will be up for purchase starting in February. The official Tales franchise blog confirmed the title's Feb. 2 release date earlier today.
Big fans of Tales games on Windows PC might already have a copy of Symphonia's Steam port. Those who pre-ordered the most recent installment, this year's Tales of Zestiria, through Steam were given the older title as a bonus.
Tales of Symphonia first launched on GameCube in 2003, and has since made its way to PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. A sequel of sorts, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, arrived on Nintendo Wii in 2008; it was later bundled with its predecessor on PS3.
Bandai Namco announced that its next Tales game, Tales of Berseria, will also be heading to PC. Launching simultaneously on Windows and PS4 in 2016 (in Japan, at least), the game received a new trailer at this weekend's Jump Festa 2015 event that confirmed its release in the West.
Update: The Steam listing for the game suggests it will launch on Feb. 1, one day earlier than originally stated.
