Obama to join Seinfeld in new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

Jerry Seinfeld's popular web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is getting ready to kick off its seventh season, but this time around, Seinfeld won't have a comedian in the car with him.

Instead, President Barack Obama will be hopping in the car with the comedian to talk about a variety of topics as he enters the final year of his last term.

Seinfeld released an official statement about the upcoming episode and said that when he was a kid, he always dreamed of being an astronaut. While that didn't work out for the actor, Seinfeld did say that hanging out with Obama for the day gave him, what he assumed, would be the same kind of rush.

"The president's humor and generosity are the only reasons this was even possible," Seinfeld said in the statement. "Being president and just a cool guy to hang out with at the same time made the experience my own personal moonwalk. It was an unforgettable day."

In this episode, Seinfeld and Obama will cruise around town in a 1963 Corvette Stingray Coupe. The premiere will air Dec. 30 at 11:30 p.m. ET on Crackle.
