Developer Game Atelier released the debut gameplay trailer of Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom, its canon entry in the nearly 30-year-old Wonder Boy/Monster World series, in a new trailer today. It's our first look at the sequel's animal-based puzzle-platforming.

Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom — previously known as Monster Boy and the Wizard of Booze — is coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One in 2016. The game was originally created as Flying Hamster 2: Knight of the Golden Seed, a crowdfunding project that drew inspiration from the Wonder Boy series but later became an official sequel.

Game Atelier and publisher FDG Entertainment originally planned to ship Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom in 2015. The developer is now targeting a Q1 2016 release.
