Bandai Namco has confirmed that a new game in the Katamari Damacy series is headed to smartphones. Tap My Katamari, which a recent European trademark filing first leaked the existence of, will arrive on iOS and Android devices sometime "soon," according to its debut trailer. The publisher announced the title at Jump Festa 2015, which was held over the weekend. It was one of many games the publisher showed off at the event, including a westward-heading Tales of Berseria.
Tap My Katamari is the first entry in the franchise since 2012's Touch My Katamari on PlayStation Vita. Its creator left Katamari Damacy behind following the PlayStation 2 title We Love Katamari, and has since moved onto developing games like Noby Noby Boy and the upcoming Wattam.
