Marvel has revealed the first official look at Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character in its upcoming Doctor Strange. This follows a series of on-set videos of Cumberbatch that were leaked online during production
Cumberbatch stars on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's latest issue, sporting the costume many will come to recognize him by once the movie is released. Fans will immediately notice Strange’s classic amulet and familiar blue and red magical robes. Cumberbatch has also added some grey to his hair to achieve the salt-and-pepper look that Stephen Strange infamously wore.
To go along with the cover reveal, of course, is an in-depth look at the movie, which includes interviews with co-stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rachel McAdams, who finally confess whether they're playing friends of the surgeon turned sorcerer or enemies.
The cover doesn't reveal much about Cumberbatch's take on the superhero, but the actor did tell the magazine in a supplementary interview that the movie has tons of "crazy shit going on."
Doctor Strange is still in production, but is scheduled to hit theaters Nov. 4, 2016.
