These are the ghosts that need busting in the new Ghostbusters

Sony still hasn't released the first trailer — or the first teaser trailer — for its upcoming Ghostbusters, but more details are slowly being revealed.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the cast of villainous ghosts Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinon and Leslie Jones will have to take on includes dead criminals from a variety of eras in the history of New York City. That includes old-time gangsters, sailors and even some Revolutionary War spirits.

That still doesn't give too much information, but director Paul Feig does suggest that a trailer may appear sooner than previously thought.

To hold fans over in the meantime, a new photo of the cast has been released, featuring the four Ghostbusters walking down a New York City street, next to what appears to be a firetruck that has turned on its side.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters July 15, 2016.
