Considering there hasn't been any new footage of Suicide Squad since the trailer for the film aired at San Diego Comic-Con this past summer, it seems right about time that fans were treated to something new.
According to DC Comics, The CW is set to air the second trailer for the film on Jan. 19, as part of a special half-hour program that will highlight the "Dawn of the Justice League." Also included as part of the half-hour special will be a first look at the stand-alone Wonder Woman film currently in development and a new preview of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The company didn't allude to what else the special will focus on to fill the 30-minute space, but interviews with the cast and directors of each film are more than likely.
Before this special airs, however, The CW will also be hosting a half-hour event dedicated to its new show, which is also based on DC Comics property, Legends of Tomorrow.
The network has been teasing the series for months, with recent appearances from some of the new superheroes in both The Flash and Green Arrow.
The event, Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time Is Now, will include interviews with the cast and crew, as well as behind-the-scenes snippets from the show.
The actual series is set to premiere on Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016, but if you're looking to fill your calendar with all the upcoming release dates of future superhero movies, check out Polygon's timeline here.
