Uncharted 4 cinematic introduces a new adversary for Nathan Drake

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is expanding the Uncharted franchise's rogues' gallery with a new female foe, and you can see her face off against Nathan Drake in a cinematic that debuted at The Game Awards 2015.

In the minutelong clip, Drake is attempting to leave a reading room in a library, but a muscular woman blocks his path.

"You're not supposed to be back here," she notes, revealing a vaguely Australian accent. Drake, taken aback, replies, "Um, neither are you. But I tell you what: I won't tell anyone if you don't."

She won't let him pass, though, because he has something she wants — a crucifix. And she's going to take it from him by force, if need be. The cinematic ends just as the two put up their dukes for some hand-to-hand combat.

The woman is Nadine Ross, and she's played by well-known voice actress Laura Bailey (Tales from the Borderlands, Halo 5: Guardians). Uncharted 4 developer Naughty Dog hasn't said anything else about the character at this point.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is set for release March 18 on PlayStation 4. Its multiplayer beta is now live, open only to players of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.
