Dark Souls 3 was previously announced to arrive in North America sometime in April 2016. Publisher Bandai Namco today confirmed that the game will come to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on April 12.
In Japan, the third Dark Souls game will launch a few weeks earlier on March 24.
Collector's and Day One editions are planned for the game, and Bandai Namco revealed pricing for those sets as well. The Day One package will be $59.99 and include the game, starter guide, soundtrack and exclusive packaging. The Collector's Edition is $129.99 and comes with all of the above, as well as an art book, game map, 10-inch Red Knight statue and special collector's box. The official Dark Souls site has images of both sets available.
The release date announcement was accompanied by a new trailer for the game, which you can watch above. Below, check out new gameplay footage shared by developer From Software in anticipation of this weekend's PlayStation Experience 2015 event.
We went hands-on with Dark Souls 3 in August. Most recently, in October, the game launched a "stress test" beta across all of its platforms.
