Destiny: The Taken King is getting a new multiplayer mode next week: Sparrow Racing League. Players will compete in six-player Sparrow races on Mars and Venus to earn new gear and new vehicles, Sony's Adam Boyes announced at PlayStation Experience today.

Sparrow Racing League kicks off Dec. 8 and runs for three weeks. The mode is exclusive to Destiny: The Taken King, Bungie’s latest expansion, and free. A PlayStation-exclusive limited-time quest will be available alongside Sparrow Racing League.
Boyes also announced that some PlayStation-exclusive Iron Banner rewards are coming to Destiny.
