Final Fantasy 7 Remake just got a new trailer at this weekend's PlayStation Experience, opening up the event's keynote presentation yesterday. However, something that wasn't revealed during the event was the news that the PlayStation 4 game will be released as a "multi-part series."
This comes from a press release sent out by Square Enix today, which indicates that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will unfold over several entries, with each one "providing its own unique experience."
Whether that means it will unfold in an episodic manner or resemble the expanded Final Fantasy 13 universe remains to be seen; the game is still unscheduled. You can play the original PlayStation version on PlayStation 4 right now; it's now on sale at the PlayStation Store, and is available at a 30 percent discount through Dec. 13, after which it will cost $15.99.
