After questions started arising over whether or not Marvel and Netflix were going to actually pursue an Iron Fist series, it looks like the show is definitely moving forward.
According to ComicBook.com, former Dexter and Six Feet Under producer Scott Buck has signed on as showrunner for the series. Before producing, Buck spent years as a staff writer on multiple shows, including Dexter, Nikki and The Oblongs.
Although he's been tapped for the position, there are still a number of problems facing the series, including major casting issues. The project is supposed to go into development relatively soon, as Luke Cage is just about finished its production, meaning Netflix and Marvel are going to have to hurry things along if they want to meet their deadline.
Iron Fist is the fourth series Netflix is developing in partnership with Marvel. The first was Daredevil, followed by the recently released Jessica Jones and the upcoming Luke Cage. After Iron Fist, Netflix will develop The Defenders, which will bring all four superheroes together in one show.
