Final Fantasy 6 is heading to Windows PC. Launching Dec. 16, Square Enix will release its classic role-playing game on Steam just in time for your holiday vacation.
This version of Final Fantasy 6 is culled from the recent mobile re-release, so don't expect it to feature those classic 16-bit sprites. Still, it's a release PC fans of Final Fantasy have been clamoring for for years, so beggars can't be choosers.
Final Fantasy 6 is also playable on the Wii Virtual Console in its original Super Nintendo version as well as the PlayStation Store, which stocks the re-release on the first PlayStation.
