The high-definition remaster of Resident Evil 0 will arrive in January, Capcom announced today. The horror franchise origin story, which first launched on GameCube, will arrive Jan. 19.
Hitting PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, the updated Resident Evil 0 will also be available as part of the Resident Evil Origins Collection. That set includes an HD version of the very first Resident Evil, too, and will be available on the same day as the standalone 0.
Buying Resident Evil 0 on its own will set you back $19.99, while pricing remains a mystery for the Collection. If you pre-order the enhanced prequel, you'll nab a pair of costumes for main protagonists Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen. You can take a look at those in the video up at the top.
Capcom first announced it would be giving a fresh coat of paint to the 2002 game – which began its life on Nintendo 64 before being released on GameCube – back in May.
