Bloodborne player is beating The Old Hunters using nothing but his bare fists

Twitch streamer Lobos Jr likes his Bloodborne extremely hard. He's played through the game using only a torch. He's played through it without consuming any blood vials. His latest challenge is to take on the game's expansion, The Old Hunters, using nothing but his bare fists.

He's also doing it on NG+++++++ — his eighth consecutive run, with compounded difficulty — and occasionally beating The Old Hunters' super tough bosses without armor, without the game's HUD and without using blood vials. In other words, Lobos is taking some of Bloodborne's hardest boss fights and making them look like a joke.

Lobos started his fists-only run on Twitch yesterday, and blew through The Old Hunters' first three bosses — Ludwig the Accursed, Living Failures and Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower. After taking down the first two in an impressive display of patience, he decided to ramp up the difficulty on the Lady Maria fight by turning off the HUD (meaning he couldn't see health meters or the lock-in indicator), stripping off his character's armor and refusing to consume any blood vials.

Beating those bosses with nothing but your bare fists means relying on low-powered attacks and the occasional powerful visceral attack. Some of Bloodborne: The Old Hunters' bosses (Living Failures, Lady Maria, Orphan of Kos) can be regularly staggered with a back stab for a visceral attack, while others (Ludwig and Laurence) can't.
