Starr Mazer, currently on Kickstarter, takes something of a kitchen sink approach to game development. It fuses a point and click adventure game with a 2D space shooter. It features crossovers with Kickstarter success stories Shovel Knight, Children of Morta and Hyper Light Drifter. And its soundtrack comes from a variety of popular composers, ranging from Jake "Virt" Kaufmann (Shovel Knight) to Keiji Yamagishi (Ninja Gaiden) to Manami Matsumae (Mega Man).
To support the game, music label Brave Wave sent Polygon a recording of Matsumae playing the game's "main theme," originally composed by Alex Mauer, on piano, which we have embedded below.
Starr Mazer currently has nine days left in its Kickstarter campaign, with just under $50,000 to go to reach its target.
