Dying Light will receive a new hard mode through an upcoming free content update, Techland producer Tymon Smektala said in a prepared statement.
The new mode, which is expected to launch by March, will feature a beefed-up night-time difficulty that will introduce even tougher infected foes. In this mode, supplies will be limited and players will be required to play stealthily.
"A few gamers have already finished Dying Light and are asking for more. So we're going to give our community a new challenge that will put everything they learnt in the game to the test. Hard Mode is exactly that," Smektala explained.
Techland announced this week details of the Dying Light season pass, starting with the first content update "Cuisine & Cargo". You can read our review of Dying Light to get caught up on the parkour-slash-zombie title, and we've also played through a chunk of the game in virtual reality.
