Rock Band gets two new DLC songs about things you love coming back for some reason

In January, the Rock Band music store got a fresh injection of playable tracks for the first time in nearly two years. This week, Rock Band fans are getting another dose, thanks to new music from Tenacious D and Weezer.

Tenacious D's "Rize of the Fenix," the title track from the comedy rock duo's 2012 album, and Weezer's "Back to the Shack," from last year's Everything Will Be Alright in the End, are coming to the Rock Band music store on Feb. 17. The new tracks will be compatible with Rock Band 3 and Rock Band Blitz on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The new songs will cost $1.99, £.99 or €1.49 depending on the currency of your choice.

Interestingly, the two songs share a somewhat similar theme, with The D's song about revival and Weezer's Rivers Cuomo singing about nostalgia and returning to one's roots.

Last month, in addition to releasing new Rock Band tracks, Harmonix also polled fans on what they'd like to see in a new Rock Band game, hinting at a possible release on PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox One.
