Halo: Nightfall, the Xbox live-action series set between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, will launch digitally on March 17, according to a trailer released by Microsoft ahead of the digital launch.
The Ridley Scott-produced series of episodes is being combined into a single, feature-length release that will be made available to rent or buy from video-on-demand services and on DVD and Blu-ray.
Halo: Nightfall tells the origin story of Jameson Locke, a "a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence." Locke is also the playable co-star of next year's Halo 5: Guardians and will be played by actor Mike Colter.
