Hinted at as far back as 2013, National Entertainment Collectibles Association says it expects to ship a Halo Spartan Armor motorcycle helmet in July this year
Yes, it's a street-legal, DOT-approved motorcycle helmet that mimics the visage of Halo's iconic Master Chief. Among other features, NECA says it features front-air intakes to reduce fogging on the visor, and rear vents and a contoured design to help keep the wearer's head cool. The face of the helmet is roomy enough for those who wear eyeglasses, NECA says, and the visor flip switch is "glove friendly."
Prices and ordering information were not provided in the NECA blog post announcement. It comes in four sizes, from small (55 to 56 cm) to extra large (61 to 62 cm).
NECA and 343 Industries announced a partnership in November 2013 that started delivering Halo marchandise last April. The motorcycle helmet was one of the big products envisioned when the news was announced.
