Flame Con will bring the geek to NYC Pride

Flame Con is a Comic-Con-style geek convention aimed at LGBT fans and creators. It's about to launch its first-ever show during NYC's Pride week this June.

The show was successfully Kickstarted by Geeks Out. The organizers are calling it "the world's first LGBTQ Comic-Con."

Flame Con will be a one-day comics, arts, and entertainment expo showcasing creators and celebrities from all corners of LGBTQ geek fandom, including comics, video games, film and television. There will be thoughtful discussions, exclusive performances, screenings, costumes and more! The expo will be followed by an after-party, also taking place at the Grand Prospect Hall.

Tickets are relatively inexpensive, compared to other events of its type, at $20 for the convention, $10 for the party, and $25 for a combo ticket.

Specific details on panels, guests and screenings are TBD.

Flame Con will run on June 13 at the Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn. Tickets can be purchased at the con's website.
