Destiny's next big patch is coming later this week

Bungie confirms that Destiny's next major patch will be released later this week, the company announced on its official Twitter account.

The release of Update 1.1.1 will happen sometime following today's scheduled downtime, which starts at approximately 10 a.m. PST on Feb 24 until 12 p.m. PST, and will to both Destiny and Bungie.net. According to the developer, gameplay will be unaffected once services are resumed.

Destiny's Update 1.1.1 will introduce a few major changes to the game, including mandatory matchmaking for the weekly Heroic Strike.
